• In Feb. 2011, EFI acquired Streamline Development, LLC, the provider of PrintStream ERP/MIS software focused on mailing and fulfillment services for the printing industry.
• Fiery® color controllers are now available for the Ricoh Aficio MP series of multifunction products (MFPs). The versatile, color Ricoh MFPs combined with the latest Fiery technology provide higher user productivity and ease-of-use with more consistent color and the security features required for demanding office environments. The Fiery E-3200 and Fiery E-5200 controllers are available for the Ricoh Aficio MP C3001/C3501 and MP C4501/C5501 MFPs, respectively.
• EFI and Océ extended their long-term partnership to include a new worldwide referral agreement that allows Océ to refer their customers to EFI for MIS systems. Océ now has the option to add extended value to their consultancy offerings by referring their customers to EFI for their EFI Pace™ and EFI Monarch solutions.
• The company launched a new version of its Radius packaging MIS/ERP solution targeted at the small-to-medium business segment. The software is an entry-level, fully integrated automation solution ideal for single-site label, flexible packaging, converting and folding carton companies.
• EFI hosted the 12th annual Connect users' conference at the Wynn resort in Las Vegas with approximately 1,000 customers in attendance, a record number of partner sponsors, and 150 educational sessions. At the event, attendees saw a demonstration of real-time connectivity between Kodak PRINERGY Workflow and Fiery controllers.
• EFI introduced the EFI VUTEk® GS3250LX UV-curing digital inkjet printer as an addition to its growing GS Series family of printers. Engineered to dramatically lower the total cost of ownership over the lifetime of the printer, the VUTEk GS3250lx incorporates "cool cure" LED technology and increased productivity to facilitate faster and more efficient job production than ever before.
• Office workers on-the-go can now print from virtually any mobile device to Xerox Corporation's multifunction printers (MFPs) with EFI's new cloud-based solution, PrintMe®. Jobs are sent via the cloud to any Extensible Interface Platform® -enabled Xerox MFP. A document ID code is then emailed to the user to securely release the document for printing on demand.
• The company launched the latest version of its Fiery® Command WorkStation® print job management and user interface software, with all-new features to improve image quality, color output, usability, and imposition workflows. Available to most Fiery users worldwide, Fiery Command WorkStation version 5.3 can be downloaded at no cost at www.efi.com/cws5.
